Basic Turkish B1: For Intermediate Learners of All Ages

At the B1 level, learners acquire a solid foundation in Turkish grammar and vocabulary. They can communicate comfortably in everyday language. At this stage, different ways of connecting sentences in Turkish grammar are introduced. Written genres such as fairy tales, stories, poems, and newspapers, as well as auditory and visual materials like songs and short films, are utilized. Around the 9th–10th lesson, trial exams/tests are conducted based on the topics covered. Short texts can be translated into Turkish upon students’ request, and vocabulary/sentence exercises specific to different fields are practiced. Activities may also include presenting aspects of the learner’s own culture (such as cooking styles or ways of living).
